Empire Gives Back
Empire Education Group, the nation’s leading chain of cosmetology schools, is launching a multi-platformed campaign “Empire Gives Back” to support CUT IT OUT, a program that teaches salon professionals to recognize signs of domestic abuse and safely refer those clients to people and resources that can help them.
Empire has worked with the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Office on Violence Against Women to launch a comprehensive platform, which includes enhanced student training, public awareness and education efforts, fundraising, victim support and public service announcements.
Empire Gives Back Featured During 100 Days of Empire Open House Events
Empire Education Group has launched a cross country tour, 100 Days of Empire, stopping at every one of its beauty schools along the way and hosting Open House events as the cosmetology schools countdown to the opening of new beauty schools and the grand 100th beauty school opening.
During these open house events celebrating Empire Education Group and its schools, each individual school will present their local domestic abuse shelter with funds the staff and students raised during National Day of Beauty as part of the Empire Gives Back program. To date, Empire Education Group schools have raised over $170,000 through fundraising and the company’s one day of beauty services event; National Day of Beauty.
The money will allow each of the 97 shelters to provide more assistance, general necessities and more support for the residents of the shelter. Many of the residents of these shelters are women and children who have left their homes and their personal possessions and belongings, arriving at these shelters with only the clothing on their backs.
Follow along the tour at www.Empire100.com. The students and staff of the schools are also offering free beauty services to welcomed guests, hosting beauty, hair and fashion shows, and providing tours of the schools for those interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology.
